An overview of the initiavies GIVE offer and how they will benefit Braj.

Sponsoring Gopis
(Brajwasi Students)

Due to rising inflation/ cost of living and the traditional mindset, the villagers generally don’t educate their daughters and get them married at a tender age of 10-12 years; such girls never manage to attend school because of lack of financial support.

To address this issue, around 265 Brajwasi girls across Braj which includes schools in Vrindavan, Barsana, Govardhan, Chatikara etc received their tuition fees along with books, stationery, school uniform etc from GIVE in 2022.

We also provide basic food items and medical help to the poor Gopi families to ensure that their basic needs are met with and the girls don’t end up getting married or are made to work for basic needs and get basic minimum education (both material as well as spiritual education)

GIVE adopts a detailed student selection process and also monitors the process of students through meetings with parents, school teachers, principals on a regular basis.

GIVE ensures that schools wherein the gopis are sponsored recite Bhagavat Gita skolas, Mahamantra and have regular kirtan programs/ lectures. Also, students who show interest in understanding spirituality are encouraged and given future guidance.

Installation of Water Wells and Forest Restoration

Due to rising inflation/ cost of living, the villagers have almost cut all the trees to get more agricultural land/ food produce. Such agricultural practices in the villages of Braj are contributing to a looming water crisis.

There is shortage of sweet water suitable for drinking for the villagers in almost 500 villages in Braj. Also, due to lack of resources, there are not even enough tube wells in villages to suffice the requirement of the villagers. For example, there is Kashi Nagla near Dalota village which is around 20 kms from Vrindavan wherein there is no water well and the villagers have to travel 2-3 kms for water. GIVE has also identified villages villages/ Naglas in and around Govardhan, Dauji (Baldeo), Sehi, Parkam, Chaumuha, Mukarai, Kunjera wherein there is a need to install tube wells as well as plant trees.

GIVE also plans to restore the pokhers (mini lakes) and wells in the villages of Braj; if there are no pokhers or wells, we plan to built atleast 4 pokhers and 4 wells in each village to ensure rain water utilization and to solve the problem of water of the villages.

GIVE works closely with Gram Panchayat and Pradhans of the village to ensure water wells and forest restoration work takes place with the support of the local villagers

We have installed several dozens of tube wells and planted more than 250 trees.

We plan to install a minimum of 108 water wells on the Braj Chaurasi Kos Parikrama (Spiritual Ring Road of Braj) alongwith plantation of mini forestation and pokhers.

Supporting Small Gaushalas

Based on our experience, we understand that in small gaushalas (gaushalas with not more than 10 cows) the cows are in a m

some villagers find it difficult to feed their children healthy and nutritious diet. GIVE provides basic ration kit to such families.

GIVE does food and prasadam distribution on a regular basis.

uch better condition as compared to big gaushalas having thousands of cows.

Support to such small gaushalas run by poor brajwasis is a key to promote cow based (organic) farming as well as cow protection. GIVE supports several dozens of such small gaushalas in Braj region.

Ration and Food Distribution

Due to extreme poor financial conditions and many family members, some villagers find it difficult to feed their children healthy and nutritious diet. GIVE provides basic ration kit to such families.

GIVE does food and prasadam distribution on a regular basis.

GIVE organizes a big feast serving prasadam to around 30000-50000 people on Radhastami Barsana. GIVE also distributes 30000 laddos on the occasion of Lathmar Holi.

GIVE distributes prasadam to around 2500 people (including Mahants of Temples of Vrindavan) on Vrindavan Parikrama Marg during Janamashtami.

GIVE also arranges special prasadam for blind people and widows in Braj.

GIVE also does food distribution on special occasions/ tithis (like birthdays, shraddha etc) to brahmanas/ sadhus.

Distribution of Blankets and Medical Assistance

GIVE distributes around 4000 blankets in the winters to the poor in Braj region.

Due to lack of medical facilities in villages, GIVE distributes First Aid kits as well as sponsors medical operations/ treatments of poor brajwasis/ sadhus. For example-

GIVE sponsors operations and other medical treatments to sadhus and poor people in Braj.

Restoration of Ancient Temples/ Places of Worship in Braj

GIVE first project of renovation of Tulsi Das Bhajan Kutir was successfully completed and we have regular preaching programs there.

GIVE also provided water facilities in Braj Mohan Temple of Narottama Das Thakur in Gyangudri, Vrindavan. The ashram as well as the pilgrims are benefited by the same.

GIVE has formed an international research team to restore the historical spiritual places in Braj.
Presently, the team is working on establishing places of pastimes of Lord
Chaitanya in Braj. All such locations will be blessed by placing the padukas of
Lord Chaitanya for the benefit of all the pilgrims.
